My first MAC Cosmetics purchase

I finally splurged and got me some MAC cosmetics. Thanks to one of my friends mom I got the opportunity to purchase some MAC makeup for a different price than here in Canada. 

I got myself 3 lipsticks and a blush. I went outside my comfort zone instead of taking something in the brown colors or nude colors for my lips. I actually took something similar to the one I already have for my blush. 

The first lipstick I choose was "cream in your coffee". Yes! I know this color is not out of my comfort zone but I didn't purchase just one lipstick. 

The second lipstick I bought is "please me". It's a pale pink color that is way out of my comfort zone to the point where I actually don't like the color on myself. 

The last lipstick I choose is "pink nouveau". It's kind of a hot pink color with a blue undertone. It is definitely a statement pink but at least I can see myself wearing it. 

The last item I purchased is a blush. The name of it is "Sunbasque". It's a really beautiful golden color. It gives me a really nice glow. I juste love it. 

I don't know if you can see the shimmer next to the lipstick swatches! That's the blush. 

The reason why I really wanted this blush is because a couple of months ago I went to the States and bought a blush by NYX. It's definitely a dupe for "Sunbasque". It's called "Terra Cotta". I just love the glow it gives. I have to say the MAC one is more pigmented.

Rimmel London: Apocalips lip lacquer

Hey girls, 

Today I want to talk about some lip products I actually bought a while back. It's the Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer. I saw a lot of review online and on blogs so I wanted to try them out myself. 

The colors I got are the 101: celestial and 601: light year. Like the name says, they are lacquers. It means they have a shine to them. I would describe the 101: Celestial as a dark pink with no shimmer or glitter. The 601: Light Year is a brown color but I wouldn't put it as a nude. For my skintone it almost is but it's still a bit darker. 

This is the two colors next to each other. As you can see they have a lot of shine. They apply so well on the lips. It's really smooth. It is really like a lipstick that melted and was sold in a tube for glosses. You can really build up the color if you wait between coats and they stay a while on the lips. I would say it stayed for about two hours on my lips before I felt like I should reapply some. The smell doesn't really bother me but it has that plastic kind of smell. I don't fell like it dries out my lips, but I always apply some treatment before I put on any lipstick.

OOTD #16: Mint me up ft @Forever21

Hey girls, 

I hope everyone is doing great. This one is an oldy. I've had these pictures for a while and I actually thought I already did a blog post on them. Going through my pictures today, I realize that I never did. 

I really love the shear top trend from a couple of seasons ago and on top of it all I'm following another trend whitch was the trend for the color mint. Yes, I know it's almost old school right now, but I'm always so late on trends.

OOTD #15: Casual outfit ft @Forever21

Hey lovelies,

I hope everyone is having a good summer so far. What I have for you girls today is another outfit of the day. I thought I would play it more casual. When you are going to see the pictures you are probably going to say I hope you don't wear that right now. What I mean by that is the fact that it is really hot out and I'm all covered in this outfit. I just wanted to show you girls what I wear on my days off, casual days when it's not too hot out and you girls know I stack up pictures so I always have something to show you. So this is it.

How I curl my hair?

HEY GIRLS,

I know I haven't posted anything in the past two weeks and I'm sorry about that. I just didn't know what to post. I actually feel bad about posting only outfits of the days and nail art lately. This is why I'm back with something somehow new, a hair tutorial. I want to show you girls how I curl my hair. I just recently bought a curling iron from work. For those of you who don't know, I work in a hair salon. I might of mention it on twitter or instagram. I bought the Babyliss Pro in the one inch (BNT100SC). I use it occasionally when I'm sick of my straight hair. Now I'm sorry but you girls know I don't do any videos so I'm just going to show you the end result and the different curls you can get with the same curling iron.

First, let me show you girls how it looks like. 

This is when it was still in the box obviously. I used it a couple of times already. Maybe about 4 times and I must say it goes really well. It heats up really fast. You can set the temperature. The only con I realised since using this curler is that you don't know when the temperature is ready. You just have to guess. There are multiple sizes in this model. I choose the one inch barel because it was just a good universal size. The smaller one was making too tight of a curl and the bigger ones were making my curls too wavy and loose (it just didn't hold). 

Now I am going to show you how my hair looks curly. 

This is the type of curl I originally wanted. Nice big voluminous curls. They are really bouncy. This is how the curls look if you don't run your fingers threw the curls.

And this how my curls look when it's more wavy. If you want to achieve this particulary look, you just have too keep the curling iron less longer and run your fingers threw your curls one you are done and when you achieve the exact look that you want, put your favorite hairspray on to keep your curls from falling during the day. 

I hope you girls enjoyed this new post from me and I will definitely try to find a way to insert some sort of a demo of how I curl my hair.

OOTD #14: ft @hmcanada

Hey girls,

Sorry I haven't posted anything in almost two weeks now, but I was sick... That's not an excuse I'm just sorry. I'm gonna show you an outfit of the day ( like the title says ) because I already have pictures ready for you girls. This is an outfit I whore to work a couple of weeks ago. The shirt or blouse ( however you girls wants to name it ) is a piece I had for a long time now. I never wanted to wear it out because I felt like it was too big for me, it didn't fit right, and etc. I always find excuses. Anyways, there it is and let me know how you girls like it!

OOTD #13: The pink blazer.

Hey girls,

I wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago to go to work. I bought this blazer actually maybe a month and a half ago, but I didn't really know what to wear it with and the temperature was still really cold and I thought this bright color would be more suited for those hot sunny days. I hope you girls enjoy this outfit and I am for sure going to do more outfits of the days with this blazer because it's such a great piece to work with.

Nail art #9: Baby Pink stilettos

Hey girls,

So after the first experience I had with my nails, I decided to do them again. So when I went for my refill I decided to go for a baby pink color. I didn't want to miss out on anything so I told the guy who did my nails ( yeah I know a dude did my nails this time, not very common ) to do them more pointy then what he saw at the moment. I don't know the name of the color or anything. It's still gel nails. I really enjoyed these ones. The color really went well with my skin color and they were getting pointy almost like I wanted them. I was really pleased.

Nail art #8: Black and Gold

Hey girls, 

 

I'm already back for another blog post. I know I'm suprised too. Let's talk nails like the tittle says. I never went to go do my nails by someone else. I always did my own because I knew what I wanted and I always felt like they would not get me. So I only started to do my nails a couple of months ago because ... Well, you girls want to know the real reason. It's only because everyone else at work were getting manicures over manicures and pedicure on top of all that. So basically now I'm addicted to the point where I just did my nails six days ago and I feel like going back. I'm not gonna lie it damages your nails a lot, a lot, a lot ... but I like being pampered. :) 

So these are the first ones. They are not exactly like I wanted them to be but they were nice. I did them back in december. I love them but they were more oval than pointy. And this is really what I wanted fulll pointy stiletto nails. Nice claws!
