My favorite products/fashion items for summer.

This post will be about all of those products and fashion items I take out of my closets during summer time. It's just not summer without them. Now some of them I use even if it's the middle of winter but some of them I saddly have to put back in place once the cold weather starts to show up.

For my first product, I chose one of my perfumes. Its the perfume by Marc Jacobs the Daisy Eau so Fresh. So let me tell you something, it is one of the best smelling perfumes I have ever now ever smelled in my life yet. It just smells like summer to me. I only have a sample from Sephora but I am going to buy the full bottle soon. It's floral, fresh, like candies just everything I like in a perfume. If you didn't have a chance to smell it yet just go, drop that post and go it's worth it. You will finish to reading later. Don't worry about it!
For my second product well products are nail polishes. For summer, I go for really bright colors. Now I do wear bright colors during winter but not as often. The bright colors I go for are mostly pink colors but I do a lot of patherns and nail arts too. Some of the colors I go for a lot are Posh Pink (330) by Rimmel in the Lasting Finish Pro collection, the Sunset Prisms (330) by Maybelline from the Express Finish collection and the Mango-Get-em (410) from L'oreal Paris. Now, I know I just bought the last two but I already used them twice since summer started.
Next I like to use an exfoliator ... wait wait wait let me start over I always use exfoliators for my face but during summer I reach for it more often because I have oily skin and I just feel so fresh after I use it. I don't use it that often during winter maybe just once a week. For summer, I find myself reaching for it two to three time a week. The one I go for is the St-Ives Abricot exfoliator. I like it. It make my skin smooth I mean I think any will do I just like using one during summer.
As for fashion items. I like to wear a pair of sandals I bought a while back at Sirens. They are black and gold my favorite color combination and they are so comfortable. They just go with everything so everytime I don't know what to wear I just go for these. At first, I was worried about the quality of their shoes but I had them for at least three years now and they are still going strong.
Next, I have a bright blue purse with gold chains as handles. Now this one I only get out for summer because it's so bright. I bought it at Winners about 3 years ago I think and it doesn't even have a brand name. I almost fainted when I saw it. I still remember that day. The only downside to this one is that I can't wear it all the time because it doesn't go with everything.
For my last fashion item, I chose two pairs of sunglasses. The first one are aviators wich you can find anywhere really. The one I have are from Forever 21 but I kind of regret buying them from there because they are not really strong but I love the style so much. I really like the ones that are like mirrors. I'm sure you guys know what I'm trying to say. The second pair I really like are the ones I bought when I went to New York last summer. They are from the Jersey Shore Collection. They are from NYS. They are retro and have these diamonds and a gold frame arround the diamonds. I don't like wearing them too often because they make a statement on their own but I love them so much.

This summer just be bright. Find a comfortable pair of sandals for those long walks, a nice bright purse that will make turn heads and a pair of sunglasses to make a statement on their own.

Nail Art #3 ( Cheetah )

This is the first nail art I am going to show you how to do step by step. It is a one of many cheetah prints you probably already saw.

First, you should apply a base coat on all your nails. The base coat helps when it comes to removing the nail polish and also your nails won't become yellow or have residue from the color you were wearing. For my base coat, I only use a regular clear nail polish because I think it work as good as a nail polish that says "base coat" on the bottle. The one I use is by Sally Hansen from the Xtreme wear collection it is called invisible (100).

Second, I chose white for all my nails except the ring finger. For the ring finger, I chose a pink peach color called Mango-Get-Em (410) from L'oreal Paris. Here are the bottles of the nail polishes and your nails should look like this.

Third, you want to get all the different colors you have in your collection ( Just think about the rainbow) and make random spots all over your nails. Only put the spots on the white nails. Here are the colors I chose and your nails should look like this.

For the last step you will need a black nail polish and a toothpick. So first you might want to put some nail polish on a piece of paper. Take the toothpick and put it in the polish and put some random lines around the spots of colors. You can also add some random black spots to add to the effect of the cheetah print. The end result should look like this.

Feel free to add something to the ring finger to make it more you, like some gems or just do all the nails in the print. You can also do the opposite and paint all of your nails pink and do ring finger in the cheetah print. It is totally up to you this is only to give you ideas. Hope you guys injoyed it. Thanks xoxo

Review: Covergirl Lashblast Fusion

I will be reviewing the Covergirl Lashblast Fusion mascara. When it comes to the product itself it's one of those mascara where the brush comes seperated from the tube once you purchase it. This version of the Covergirl Lashblast comes in a purple tube. The wand is in rubber and it is big. The one I purchased is in the color very black and it is not the waterproof version. The smell seriously? Well it smells like a regular mascara.

I have been using this mascara for about a year and a half now (you can get an idea of how the review is going to be now) so let me share my experience with you. But first I should describe to you what kind of lashes I have. They are pretty long and curved that's why I almost never curl my lashes. They are also not super full I guess I would say they are normal when it comes to that point. The Covergirl LashBlast Fusion makes my lashes look so natural. It gives volume but it doesn't lenghtens my lashes. I never noticed the mascara flaking on me or any flakes under my eyes unless I rubbed my eyes but who does that when they are wearing eye makeup o_o. It is not the blackest black now remember my mascara is in very black and I don't really see a difference compared to the black version. It is black but not that much if you know what I mean. When I apply the product it is not too hard even if the brush is pretty big but you might get some product on your lids like I did so many times. On the good side it doesn't make your lashes hard once it's dry. It never clumped on me. It is so nice that whenever I used another mascara for my top lashes I would always use this one for my bottom lashes because it gived the most natural looking volume.

The Brand claims to be
the first to combine volume + lenght and the fiberstrech formula and oversized brush makes every little lash bigger, fuller, longer-looking and more dramatic compared to bare lashes. (source)
The LashBlast Fusion does give volume but it doesn't give any lenght. I can see my tiny lashes getting bigger and fuller but not longer. Now of course it's going to make a difference compared to your bare lashes but is it really dramatic? No, I would say it gives a nice natural look to your lashes while giving a nice volume to them. It only looks dramatic when you put 3 coats or more of the mascara.

I did make some observations. I never buy waterproof mascara because I don't necessarly see the point. I know some of you like it because it hold your curl better and if you cry you are not going to look like a raccoon. I never had any problem with my version. My natural curl is always on and when it would rain so much that my clothes would be wet to the bone my mascara would stay in place. I also never had to reapply mascara because it would transfer somewhere and I think the fact that the formula is not a wet one really helps.

Bare Lashes

1 coat

 2 coats

3 coats
I feel like it is the exact same mascara as the original lashblast in the orange tube since it doesn't lenghtens my lashes but only gives volume. The formula is the same such as the brush so it basically does the same thing. I don't know if it was a plubicity stunt since the original LashBlast sold so well but it looked like it.

Price: 5 / 5  (Never had to wait until it was on sale before repurchasing it)
Product: 4 / 5 (Didn't lenghtens like it claimed)
Overall: 9/10

Shopping Haul 06/18/12

I went to Forever 21 on Monday because I just wanted to really. I don't need a reason. LOL. I just got the app from them and saw some earings I thought were cute, but when I got there they were way too big. I looked for something else instead because I still wanted new earings. So I looked, looked and looked ( they have so many ) and finally got some silver bow earings. They have little cristals look a like on. They are small almost like studs. They were only 3,80$.

Shopping 06/06/12

I went shopping to Sirens again. It was after a half day at work. At first I just wanted to look because I didn't want to go back home right away. I stopped there and found two dresses I've been eyeing for a while and on top of that they were on sale.

The first dress is black. The material is almost like silk. It's abviously not but has that feel to it. It has a sweet heart neckline, has pockets and comes to just above my knees. It has some kind of a horizontal lining right under the bust that accentuates your curves. It was only 10,00$.

The second dress so pretty as well. The top part is almost like a off white cream color and the bottom part is kaki. The top part also has a sweet heart neckline. The bottom part has ruffles so it's not completely straight. It's pretty short, the skirt part lands right where my butt ends. It also came with the black belt. It's pretty simply so I'll probably change it with one of my own. This dress was 15,00$ and was originally 25,00$.

You guys should defenitely let me know if you want to see how the clothes look like on.

Shopping 06/01/12

I went shopping with one of my sisters to an outside mall next to where I live. We actually went shopping for her because she had to go back to work. We went to Dynamite first and I never bought anything from there. We also went to Sirens one of my favorite shop I always find something there.

Starting with Dynamite, I found two nice shirts. They are not really for summer but nice for those chilli nights. The first shirt I bought is a beige color. It has a hood, short sleeves and has a pocket in front. It is an extra small but it's meant to be really big on me. Really comfortable of course and it was 10,00$.

The other item is a black shirt with a hood also, long sleeves and a pocket in the front. It's pretty sheer. You can actully see the colored shirt you will be wearing underneath. It is an extra small. It was 15,00$.

Then we went to Sirens. I wanted some body con skirts because I only have one in my collection. I found some at 5,00$ each and I have the Sirens card since I always buy from there so it was even cheaper. They are both extra small. They are not too short, well this is what I think fitted to the body. One of them is just plain black and the other one has black and white stripes.

Shopping 05/22/12

I went to Forever 21 about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I wasn't looking for what I found there but I was still really pleased with it.

I bought a white blazer with black detailing. It has a Chanel feel to it. Really simple but really nice. It was 33,80$.

Shopping with The Girls

I went shopping downtown with some of my girlfriends. We were not really looking for anything in particular but I did find two nice pieces of clothing. The first piece is a shirt. It is kind of a pink coral color with gold buttons in front and on the  short sleeves. It is  a chiffon see through top. It was only 15,00$.

The second item I found is a bathing suit. It is a one piece in black. I always wanted one but never saw one that was simple and nice at the same time. It has a gold ring on each side of the bottom part. The top part has some ruffle detail that goes down to the belly button without showing it. The back is completely open and you fix it to your body with strings. It was 15,00$ also.

The store we went to is Latitude. It is on Sainte-Catherine street in downtown Montreal.

Warehouse Sale at L'Oreal

I went to the l'Oreal warehouse sale. It took place during the month of may. I got an invitation since I worked there during the sale. I just want to take the time to show you the products I bought.

The bag is huge but don't worry I didn't filled it up. The reusable bag was 2$. I bought it because we never have enough of these anyways.

The first thing I bought was this Biotherm duo. It comes with a face cleanser and a toner for normal to combination skin. The dry dry skin version also exists but since I have oily skin I took this one. The package was 18,00$ but it usualy retails for about 30,00$. The cleanser is the Biosource hydra-mineral cleanser toning mousse and it's 150 ml. The toner is the Biosource hydra-mineral lotion toning water and it is 125 ml. They are full size. I took it because I needed another cleanser since my face is so used to the Clinique one I've been using.

I aslo bought a body scrub from Vichy. I've always exfoliated my face but never tought about my body for some reason. It is the Lipidiose Nutritive Bi-exfoliating Body Scrub for dry to very dry skin. It was only 8,00$ and retailed for 19,00$.(Not sure since I took off the tag) It's 200 ml.

I've been eyeing this Giorgio Armani Acqua di Goia perfume for about a year now but never went ahead and bought it. Just the perfume alone retails for about 70,00$ without taxes for the 50 ml. When I saw this set with the two lotions I had to get it. It was only 44,00$ and the original price for the set was 72,00$. The perfume is 50 ml and the lotions are 75 ml each.

These two L'Oreal Paris nail polishes caught my eyes right away. The one on the left is Mango-Get-Em (410). The one on the right is Caught Red-Handed (470). They are both 11.7 ml and they were both 3.50$.

As for the Maybelline New York nail polishes they were 3,00$ and they are 11.4ml. They are from the Express Finish line. The first one starting to the left is called Sunset Prisms (330). The  one in the middle is Denim Dash (897) and the one on the right is Gold Accessory (105).

I took one of the Maybelline foundation. The 24h super stay in the color caramel. It was only 3,00$ and it's 30ml.

The other item I took was a concealer in the Fit Me collection from Maybelline New York. The color is Cafe (30). It was 3.50$.

The next item I bought is an eyeshadow trio called Neutral Liaisons (25). It is from the Maybelline New York Eyestudio collection. The colors don't have individual names. The price was 3,50$.

For lip products I chose the l'Oreal Paris in the Colour Riche collection Le Gloss. They were 2,50$ each and they are 12 ml. The first one starting to the left is called Really Rosé (156), the second one is Watermelon Crush (154) and the last one is Peach Fuzz (158).

The next one is also from the same collection. It was 2,50$ and has 6.8 ml. The name of the color is Rich Red (300).

The last items I bought were the Maybelline New York Color Sensational lip glosses. They were 3,00$ and is 6.8 ml. I know it's kind of hard to see but the first color on the left is called Sandstone Shimmer (205) and the one on the right is called Pink Perfection (035).

Why?

Why a blog ? Why do I want to start a blog about fashion?

After watching Youtube videos for almost two years now I wanted to get in on it. Now I'm too shy to do videos right away so I've decided to start a blog. Maybe one day you will see me on Youtube. I see a lot of people doing it so I just said to myself why not me. I always wanted to be a fashion designer but never had the courage to actually go and study it. It will be in some sort a way to persue my dream and do something I know I will love.

After those two years watching videos on Youtube about fashion, makeup and all that I relized it was hard to find someone from my hometown with stores I know and love. I'm not saying that I didn't appreciate those videos but it's better when you know the stores and have access to what they are showing to you. I do believe there is a fashion system in montreal. I just want to be one of the ones who will show it to you.

I will be taking this very seriously. For the content of it. I will talk about makeup, fashion, nails. I will do some hauls, reviews. Basically anything that relates to fashion. I am a drugstore kind of person. I don't really buy high end makeup unless it's really worth it and it's the same for clothes. I buy key pieces at any price but for the rest it usually at normal prices. You guys know what I mean right?!

Keep in mind that english is my second language. It's not a big chalenge for me but it's to warned you that I will make mistakes.

I hope you will enjoy it and don't be afraid to subscribe if you like.

THANKS!
